Case Study — Karqi Fleet Compliance Platform

Karqi is a mobile-first fleet compliance platform Cheesman built for SME fleets in the UK. It replaces paper daily-check books with a phone-friendly workflow that drivers actually complete, and gives fleet managers a real-time view of defects, reminders and DVSA-grade audit history.

What Was Built

• Daily driver walkaround checks with photo evidence and signature
• Defect tracking with status workflow and supplier assignment
• Automatic MOT, tax, insurance and service reminders pulled from DVLA data
• Multi-vehicle, multi-driver, multi-depot architecture
• Subscription billing via Stripe (£4.33 / vehicle / month)
• Mobile-first PWA — installable, works offline at depot edges

Stack & Approach

React, TypeScript, Tailwind and Supabase, with Edge Functions handling DVLA lookups and scheduled reminder dispatch. Designed and built by Daren Cheesman from the Cheesman studio in New Alresford, Hampshire. Live at karqi.co.uk.
